About Shop Sites

What project was
Engel and Völkers Wolfville needed a high performing shop website that could represent the brand in a region where the brokerage was completely new. This site functions as a standalone local presence while still connecting to the broader EVNS data ecosystem and shared MLS infrastructure.
Who the project was for
This project is for Engel and Völkers Wolfville, a newly established real estate shop serving the Annapolis Valley. It is designed for home buyers, sellers, and advisors in the region looking for a premium real estate experience.
Problem:
  • A new shop with no existing digital footprint
  • Competing in a saturated local market with established brokerages
  • Ensuring independent local SEO while maintaining global brand consistency
  • Handling MLS data, advisor profiles, and map functionality within a shared system

Goals

Local credibility

Create an online presence strong enough to help a brand-new shop establish immediate trust in the Wolfville region.

Full EVNS functionality

Provide the same powerful search, MLS integration, and advisor discovery that the main EVNS platform is known for.

Local SEO foundation

Optimize metadata, content, and structure so the Wolfville shop could begin ranking locally and growing organic traffic from day one.

Easy scalability

Ensure the shop site could grow with additional advisors, featured properties, and future content without requiring new development cycles.

Seamless integration

Leverage the shared EVNS backend to pull live listings, advisor details, and map data automatically.

Solution

We built a clean, performance-driven real estate shop site with full MLS integration, advisor search, custom filtering, and localized branding. The site connects to the EVNS master backend, giving Wolfville access to live property data, parcel overlays, and advisor management tools.

Unique adjustments were made for Wolfville's SEO needs, including localized metadata, region-specific content blocks, and structural changes to help search engines quickly identify the new location and its relevance.
  • Full MLS and VOW integration
  • Optimized shop-level SEO strategy
  • High performance SSR pages
  • Localized content and imagery
  • Consistent appearance with EV global brand standards

Tech Stack

A fast and scalable frontend that supports SSR and delivers a responsive real estate experience across devices.

Development Process

We followed our full design to development workflow, beginning with understanding the specific needs of the Wolfville shop launch. After creating moodboards and UI concepts aligned with the EV global brand, we moved into wireframes and high fidelity designs.
The site was implemented using the shared EVNS infrastructure, allowing seamless data syncing. We set up shop-specific metadata, Open Graph details, and localized content to support rapid SEO indexing.
Because this shop had no prior digital footprint, we iterated on the SEO setup more than with other locations. The build was completed within the overall EVNS ecosystem timeline and deployed alongside the rest of the shop network.
